Selecting the right CPAP mask will ensure you get the most out of your sleep apnea therapy, for a comfortable, good night's sleep. A quality full face mask will offer peace of mind, knowing you are getting the full benefits from your sleep treatment. Finding the right mask is just as important as finding the right CPAP machine.

We offer an extensive range of CPAP full masks from leading brands, including ResMed, Fisher & Paykel and Philips.

How Full Face Masks Work

A CPAP full face mask covers both the mouth and the nose, creating a seal across both airways. Side straps, chin straps or headgear will keep the mask in place, to ensure the seal is retained throughout the night. Even if you are a restless sleeper, the straps should be sufficient to hold the mask in place.

If you suffer from air leakage, this is a sign of an ill fitting mask, and you will benefit from adjusting the mask or trying other alternatives.

Who Will Benefit From Full Face Masks?

Due to the fact that a full face mask covers both airways, they are a great option for CPAP users that are mouth breathers, or that require a high pressure of airflow, such as those with severe sleep apnea.

If you are a back sleeper, a full face mask will likely be recommended for you. Some side sleepers may find full face masks uncomfortable due to their bulk, but a benefit of sleeping on your back is that this position will accommodate even full face masks. However, if you have severe sleep apnea, your doctor or sleep specialist may advise you to try to change your sleep position, as sleep apnea symptoms can be worsened by sleeping on your back.

If you suffer from allergies or other medical conditions that make it difficult to breathe through your nose, a full face mask is likely your best option. Nasal masks or nasal pillow masks won’t be suitable for you if you are predominantly a mouth breather, or suffer from nasal congestion.
