CPAP Mask Fitting Guide

An essential part of CPAP therapy is making sure your mask fits correctly. A good fit helps reduce air leaks, improves comfort, and supports consistent use. The ideal mask size depends on factors such as your facial structure and preferred mask style.

Template Measuring Method

We have sizing templates available for many of our mask types to make it easier to measure at home. Open the relevant guide above, print the template at 100% scale, and follow the instructions to determine the correct size.

Alternative Measuring Methods

Full Face Mask Guide

Use a rigid measuring tool, such as a ruler, and measure from the bridge of your nose to the indent of your chin just below your bottom lip. It can be helpful to have someone assist you. Compare this measurement with the sizing guide for the mask you are considering.

Nasal Mask Guide

Use a rigid measuring tool to measure the width of your nose at its widest point, from the outside of one side to the outside of the other. Some sizing guides may also ask for a top-to-bottom measurement of your nose.

Nasal Pillow Mask Guide

Nasal pillow masks generally include multiple cushion sizes, allowing you to try the available sizes and select the option that provides the best fit.

Mask Is Uncomfortable or Leaking Air?

If your mask is leaking or feels uncomfortable, start by adjusting the headgear. Avoid overtightening, as this can make the mask uncomfortable and may also affect the seal.

If your mask continues to leak or has never felt quite right, you may need a different mask size or mask style.
