The key difference between the Löwenstein Prisma Smart Max and Prisma 20A lies in their hardware and features: the Prisma 20A has a Swiss-made Micronel blower, a large color touchscreen, integrated heated humidification with a powered heated tube, and supports SoftPAP level 3 which adds inhalation pressure relief, while the Smart Max uses a German-made EBM Papst blower, has a simpler smaller display (not touchscreen), includes Bluetooth internally, but requires an external modem for cellular connectivity, and supports SoftPAP levels 1 and 2 without the extra inhalation boost seen in the 20A. Additionally, the 20A runs on 37 volts versus 24 volts for the Smart Max, influencing power supply options.
